From the report in Archaeological News Online Magazine: “Archaeologists working in the center of Paderborn have uncovered a rare medieval notebook that spent nearly 800 years buried inside a latrine. The small object, found during excavations for a new city administration building, survived in unusually good condition because of the damp, airtight soil below the city streets.” Read the full story here.
